DIM Mobilya workshop floor in Çubuk, Ankara — steel-trussed hall with walnut door sets in production
Home  ·  Story

Six decades of quiet craft.

An Ankara joinery that opened in 1966 with our grandfather and continued with our father in 1996 — today an international fit‑out atelier delivering doors, cabinetry and complete interiors for hotels, residences and offices across eight countries.

Where we started,
and how we work now.

The company has always been privately held and family‑run. The names and the workshop have travelled — the working principle has not.

DIM Mobilya is an interior design and fit‑out company specialised in the production, supply and installation of wooden doors, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, stretch ceilings and complete interior fit‑out. Our factory is located in Çubuk, Ankara — Türkiye. To develop our business in the GCC we have established offices in Doha (Interior Management Qatar, est. 2010) and Dubai (DIM Dubai).

This family business started with our grandfather, continued with our father in 1996, and is now in its third generation. Through more than 60 years of work, DIM has built an esteemed position in the market — the result of an approach that treats full client satisfaction and quality as prior principles. Every commitment is delivered on time and without defects.

We produce kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, wooden fire‑rated and non‑fire‑rated doors, wooden wall panels, loose furniture and full interior‑design packages — as per client specifications and contract drawings. Fire‑rated doors are available at 30, 60 and 90 minutes to both British and American standards, tested and certified by Civil Defense, Chiltern International Fire (BM TRADA), Warrington Laboratory UK and Underwriters Laboratory (UL).

All raw materials are carefully procured to be non‑carcinogenic and green. We pair our work with hardware from Häfele, Dorma, Blum, Würth, Akzo Nobel, Egger and Fuller. We take care of European health and standards principles in every production run.

Today our production capacity reaches roughly 500 door sets and 1,500 m² of wall cladding and cabinets per month. We provide fixation service for every product, all of which are warranted and fabricated to specification.

Quietly relentless about
the right detail.

A short letter from the Managing Director — written for the prequalification document, kept here verbatim.

Full satisfaction. Every single unit.

From the first day we started the machines for production until today, the most important issue for me and my team is the full satisfaction of our clients. To reach this goal, every single unit in the company uses its highest performance. To finalize a project is harder than it seems — for each single item it goes through at least 13–14 steps, and each unit must take care for its department to reach the final goods with the targeted quality.

Partnerships, not transactions.

It is not only producing goods for hotels, residences or buildings — I want to add something from our emotions and culture, and bring full satisfaction. We always think that it is not only business when we start the project; we wish to establish partnerships which continue for years. What we do is showing the highest sensitivity to protect these partnerships.

— Durukan Aydoğdu, Managing Director

Inside the workshop.

Cutting, milling, edge‑banding, finishing, assembly, dispatch — every DIM commission passes through the same Ankara floor. We have a modern production line organised around the materials in the project: each unit produces its specialised item, and at the final process they are combined at the factory and finished as paint and packaging.

Hardware & partners.

We have always wished to serve our clients with the best — not only in production quality, but in the components that complete our goods. We prefer well‑known items from well‑known companies.

From sketch to installed.

You hand us a brief, a project file, or just a mood — we hand back a finished room. Here is how that conversation usually unfolds.

Brief & concept

Our interior architects work with your project file — or build one from scratch — until the concept reflects how the space should be lived in.

Samples & spec

We produce ready‑made samples, propose finishes, and lock the technical spec with Häfele, Dorma, Blum, Akzo and Egger hardware where it counts.

Production in Ankara

Doors, cabinetry, joinery and seating are milled and finished on our own floor — a single source of accountability for the entire program.

Delivery & fixation

Logistics, on‑site coordination and final installation — handed over on time and without defects. House rule since 1966.

Safety is everyone's responsibility.

DIM Mobilya is committed to provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for employees, and to demonstrate continuous efforts to identify, eliminate and manage HSE risk associated with our operations.

Zero‑harm philosophy

An incident and injury free environment in accordance with industry standards and legislative requirements — striving to eliminate any foreseeable hazards which may result in property damage, occupational accidents or personal injury.

Environmental quality

Responsible resource and waste management: minimise hazardous waste, restore the environment on work accomplishment, and encourage the 3 R's — Reduce, Recycle, Reuse — across the entire production line.

Standards we are audited on.

Independent, third‑party certifications backing the European standards we hold ourselves to — quality, environmental management, occupational health & safety, and the BM TRADA Q‑Mark for fire‑door manufacture.
